πŸ‡§πŸ‡Έ Bahamas Independence Day πŸ‡§πŸ‡Έ

Today is Independence Day in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas! It marks the day in 1973 when The bahamas separated from England, but kept their membership to the Commonwealth.

The Bahamian national dish is Crack Conch with peas and rice, but I’m still tracking coach down, so for now I’ll just have to settle for a little Bahamian rum punch:

Update:

I found the conch!!

So I now present The Bahamas National dish: crack conch peas and rice!!

The conch is battered and fried, and comes out firm but not chewy (like a really good octopus tentacle). It was definetly worth the wait!! I also mixed up more rum punch, this time with lime!
