Revolution Day (Egypt)

Today is revolution day in Egypt, or the Arab Republic of Egypt       (جمهورية مصر العربية.                                  Jumhūrīyat Miṣr al-ʻArabīyah (Arabic)                              Gomhoreyyet Maṣr el-ʿArabeyya (Egyptian Arabic)).

It celebrates the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, in which Egypt abolished their constitutional monarchy and ended British occupation.

I had an Egyptian style breakfast of Ful medames (fava beans) with a fried egg, pita bread, and milk

Then for supper: Ta’amiya (falafel made with Fava beans) with tahini sauce, veggies with hummus, Karkady (hibiscus tea) an Halawa (tahini candy)
